Sara loved reading, and she immersed herself in different worlds, getting to know interesting characters and feeling the adventure and excitement. She loved fantasy, science fiction, historical, and romance novels, but what she loved most were horror stories. She enjoyed the feeling of fear, suspense, and mystery, and loved stories that made her sleep with the light on. So when she heard about a new book called "The Eternal Darkness," she didn't hesitate to buy it. The book was written by an anonymous author and had no information about him on the cover or the back page. All that was there was the book's title and a picture of a closed door with a warning sign saying, "Do not open." The book seemed intriguing and mysterious, with no index or introduction. The story began directly. Sara started reading and got lost in the words. The story was about a man named David, who worked as a private investigator, tracking down a serial killer who murdered his victims in gruesome ways and left behind mysterious messages written in blood. The killer called himself "The Eternal Darkness" and claimed to be working under the orders of a higher power. David was determined to stop him, uncover his identity, and understand his motives. Sara was captivated by the story, feeling tense, curious, and awestruck. The author described the scenes with realistic and frightening details, creating an atmosphere of horror and mystery. Sara kept wondering what would happen next, who the killer was, and what the higher power he followed was. She read quickly, turning the pages, but after a few hours, she began to feel something else, something she had never felt before, something strange and unsettling. She started to feel that the story was affecting her in an unnatural way, feeling as if she was not just a reader but a part of the story. She began to feel that she was living what David was living, seeing what he saw, and hearing what he heard. She started to feel that she was communicating with the killer, receiving his messages, and feeling in danger. Sara tried to ignore this feeling, considering it just the story's effect, and tried to focus on reading and enjoying the story. But the feeling did not go away; it became stronger and clearer. She began to feel fear and panic, feeling that she was not in her apartment but in another place, a dark, cold, and terrifying place called "The Eternal Darkness." Sara wanted to stop reading, close the book, and forget everything, but she couldn't. She was addicted to the story, wanting to know the ending, to know who the killer was, what the higher power was, and what would happen to David. She wanted to know what would happen to her. Sara continued reading without looking at the clock. She didn't notice that the night had passed and the sun had risen, didn't notice her phone ringing or her friend calling her, didn't notice the apartment door opening or her mother entering. All she noticed was the book. Sara's mother was worried about her, not hearing from her for two days, tried calling her but got no answer, so she decided to go to her apartment to check on her, thinking she might be sick or busy or in trouble. Sara's mother loved and cared for her deeply. She reached Sara's apartment and used the spare key to open the door, entered, and called out, "Sara, Sara, are you here?" Hearing no response, she felt worried, looked around, and saw that the apartment was in a mess. Dishes and plates were piled up in the kitchen, clothes and papers scattered in the living room, lights, the TV, and the computer were on, making it seem as if she hadn't left the apartment for days. Sara's mother headed to Sara's bedroom, opened the door, and what she saw made her scream loudly. On the bed, she saw Sara dead, her eyes open as if looking at her, holding a red book with a black title "The Eternal Darkness." Sara's mother collapsed to the floor, crying, unable to believe what she saw, unable to understand what happened. How did Sara die? What was this book? What was the story she was reading? And what was its connection to her death? At that moment, she heard another sound, one that didn't belong to this world, a scary and terrifying sound.
